Announcer is sitting there calling the plays.
He's like yeah look. Every time Lloyd lines up offset left of Williams it's a run.
And most of those to the right.
The guy even said you know if I am a colorado d player or coach that's a total "tell". I know what's coming.
If they are right and if formation is that much of a giveaway I certainly hope usc was doing that on purpose to show people something on film
Great point.
In addition I feel the run game schemes have gotten very basic. No pulling guards or tackles. Without a FB as well, I feel this approach is the kiss of death.
Mass kicks ass
Another thing missing yesterday, just like in the Tulane game: no read option mesh plays with Williams keeping the ball. If you always hand it to the running back, like when Helton was the coach and Slovis was the QB, then the play has no value in terms of making the defense choose what to defend.
In the Tulane game the reason was obvious: Williams still had an injured hamstring and couldn't run. What was the reason yesterday? Is Williams hurt but the staff isn't talking?
