Oregon ain't getting Georgia-level recruits, but...

....I love this Georgia defense Coach Lanning is bringing to Eugene. And I'm guessing recruits will see it the same way. Pretty solid message to tell recruits: Ducks can have the same suffocating D as the Dawgs but only IF you come to Oregon.

The p12 with Riley and Deboner and Whittingham just got fun again. And with Kliavkoff leading it, this is one optimistic duck for the future of the conference.

Any school with money to spend and boosters with the will to pay will do well in the new NCAA. Look at A&M talk about podunk and yet they paid between $29-30M for this recruiting class so far...

I wasn’t impressed with Georgia DC in the SEC championship game #1 and/or game #2. He wasn’t bad but not blown away fwiw.

I was however very impressed with Georgia athletes tho. Wow. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels were stacked with ballers.

LOL!! Sure, not expecting miracles in 2022....but at least the cupboards aren't exactly bare in Eugene while he learns on the job.

And not to say the same fate is necessarily in store for Oregon, but I do remember a first-time head coach (also in his mid-30s then) doing pretty well back in 2017 at a place called Oklahoma. Who knows? Worth the gamble in my mind.

Worst case if we quacks end up at the same place we find ourselves now in 4 years with a head coach either fired or moving on, at least we'll have stocked cupboards once again. And for a podunky hole like Eugene, that is almost unbelievable.
