The RB didnt go below the waist.
Instead of 1st and 10 at 35 ish they got moved inside the 5.
Awful. there needs to be a review on plays that removes a 1st down for a team, not just scoring plays.

I'm not sure our season was "saved" by that call, but okay. As I noted before the WI game, outside of the tOSU game, we quacks had this one circled as our most difficult of the season - an away game across 3 time zones, at the end of an 8-straight-game slough, at one of the most difficult places to play in the B1G.
Losing to WI wouldn't have doomed Oregon's season necessarily, but it would have made it more difficult. It means we likely need to beat UW and maybe win the CCG vs tOSU/Indiana to get in. But a close loss to either of those two in the CCG and I think Oregon would still be dancing ahead of some other 2-loss SEC teams.
Not to back the ducks, and they amusingly always seem to get the benefit of the breaks- thanks nike- but I actually agree w the call there. When you're in a congested area, that cut block could have ended up lower than intended. That could have ended up much worse.
Part of hit was below waist. Penalty stands.
