But the Ducks will have to continue their winning streak without one of their offensive weapons.
Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported Monday that wide receiver and kick returner Seven McGee has left the Oregon team and intends to transfer. McGee won't be able to officially enter his name into the transfer portal until the first NCAA "transfer window" opens Dec. 5.
"Oregon wide receiver and kick returner Seven McGee isn’t currently with the team and is expected to enter the transfer portal after the portal window opens, sources tell On3Sports. Had 11 catches in the Ducks’ first seven games." -- Matt Zenitz
McGee caught 11 passes for 67 yards in seven game appearances this season. He also returned six kickoffs for a total of 99 yards. He did not see the field in Oregon's win over California on Saturday.
McGee had seen his playing time diminish as the season progressed, as Troy Franklin, Kris Hutson, Dont'e Thornton and Chase Cota took the majority of snaps at wide receiver.
McGee, a former four-star prospect out of Rochester, New York, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. He will be able to suit up for his new school as soon as next season thanks to the one-time transfer waiver granted to all student-athletes by the NCAA last year.
that portal tho'
Love the name, unfortunately his ability never panned out at Oregon. Hope he is successful wherever he ends up.
