Lol....but maybe not quite how you're thinking...
Oregon hired former Wisconsin provost John Karl Sholz as its next president this week. He was a big fan of B1G western expansion when at Wisconsin, and in fact voted as interim chancellor to bring in USC and UCLA to the conference.
Seen as a very good move internally for us quacks should the B1G reach out to Oregon about joining. And looks like there could be some smoke swirling in that direction currently...
Oregon should change the color of their turf since they will be exactly like Boise State. Maybe pink?
More like a third. Even Indiana Purdue are getting 80 million. No way they share
You should be concerned about a UDub resurrection. With the LA schools leaving, UDub is the sleeping giant in this scenario. And that will come directly at the expense of Oregon.
It will be a weak conference. But I like the auto bid to playoffs. better odds than 3rd place in big ten.
ASU President said in his latest interview the PAC is solid in sticking together and he expects they are finalizing the TV deal with the next step looking for two new schools which should make SDSU and SMU the prime suspects for the invitation. Bottom line the PAC is going to stick it out unless the TV deal falls thru at the last minute.
Ducks aren’t going anywhere. First the big ten is done at expansion. 2nd Ducks new President doesnt even start to July 1. The PAC will have a new deal before that
3rd , I like the Ducks in the PAC to get that auto bid to the playoffs.
4th. Some Beaver legislator just introduced a bill that you need State legislature approval to enter a new athletic conference. They won’t let the Ducks leave.
so if you are in the Camp to go to the big ten, you need the conference to fold.
only other option is going Independent. Which is a schedule nightmare.
