emergency restraining order not allowing the other ten members to vote in next weeks meeting.
George called a meeting for all 12 schools to vote on the conference going forward. Basically, a vote to end conference. 9 votes needed to do that. Lawsuit mentions George is violating bylaws and the schools have no voting rights due to written or verbal notice to leave conference.
My guess is restraining order is granted then the real lawsuits are filed.
George was looking to get a quick vote to fold conference and exit quickly.
Wonder if OSU and wsu could fire George on their own? Or they will be fighting George for years? While he is collecting $3 mil/ yr.
Yep. It's always been and always will be about greed. This issue and the demise in the first place. The money was never good enough for them.
Pac presidents are dumb as fawk. Cant be trusted to drive a school bus and yet are leading universities. Unreal.
Its all about two issues
the comcast overhanging liability
the future dollars payable in the future from the NCAAA already earned but not paid
AS is customary for government tax-sucking leaches, they want to steal from those who earned the money and use it for their selfish purposes.
Interesting situation. The 10 schools exiting are still members of the conference until like July 2024. All 12 active members should continue to have voting rights on any matters effecting league operations through the end of the current GOR. I do agree the 10 exiting schools should not have any voting powers on future impacts to the conference.
One thing all 12 schools should agree on is that George should be fired yesterday regardless what kind of compensation package he may get. He is the devil.
Deck chairs and a big boat.
Nothing screams democracy like not allowing people to vote.....
Judge will tell them to remember to turn out the lights.
