USC had given up 41 points a game. Some good teams on the list. Some not so good.
tonight they gave up 28
Interestingly in those 9 games they scored more than 42 in regulation only twice. Cal and Colorado.
Total yardage given up was just 360 and 140 of that was passing to Coach Jeff Brohm and his offensive genius. Guy really knows qb and passing game.
Quite a night for usc. And all the haters who say they hadn't beaten a ranked team. Then oh well yea Arizona is ranked but they weren't at the time. Same w Colorado I think. Anyway Louisville was clearly ranked.
Yes it was an excellent victory and crucial to building momentum for 2024.
USC played its best game of the season tonight IMO. If not, someone please tell me which game they played better.... USC tackled better tonight than any other games this season.....?? Can't say for certain, but I think this is correct since I can't remember being happy about the defense the 12 previous games.
Anyways, I like whatever changes CLR has made. He's made some pretty surprising statements the last few weeks. Many doubted his words. He started with some interesting hires. Now we see improved play with players who have little to no experience. Yeah, I'm gonna take a guess and say coach stayed up many November nights and did some soul searching. There is actually some evidence he meant what he said, especially when it comes to the defense.
