Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News reported on Monday morningthat incoming Pac-12 Commissioner George Kliavkoff and the conference’s athletic directors have already begun to have exploratory conversations about changing the Pac-12 football schedule.
The biggest reform under consideration is finally reducing the conference schedule from nine games down to eight, in line with the SEC and ACC.
If the Pac-12 not only wants to ensure that it will get one team into the 12-team College Football Playoff (which has still not been formally approved but is very likely to become reality in the sport before too long), but give itself a better chance of putting two teams into the field, this is unquestionably the right move.
I'd rather we go back to the Pac-8 where you played everyone in the conference or at least make the SEC & ACC play 9 conference games.
What is a "Conferwnce"? Is that a Welsh word?
Finally! A commissioner with some common fucking sense.
