Some of you hate it, but it's the reality. There's a lot more of it now than ever in the Pac-12 and several teams have much better facilities, way bigger budgets, and many programs have made gains on the recruiting front. Teams that used to run the table in the Pac-12 can't simply do that anymore and it is likely that they will never be able to do so again -- at least not with the relative eve of times past.

Oregon losing to Stanford is a great example of P12 parity.
Unlike the SEC, were Bama reigns supreme, the P12 cannibalizes itself and it is tougher than ever to emerge unscathed as the undefeated, undisputed best team in the conference. More than ever, whichever team hopes to win the conference has a steeper hill to climb, although it would appear that teams such as USC and Oregon still have a few advantages, including branding and booster monies.
