Dan Lanning
Caleb Williams
Lincoln Riley
Truth is, it was Dan Lanning. To piss away a top three ranking at a school that rarely gets there, against a big rival, on the road , is just plain inexcusable. You also would've walked out with your starting quarterback at the top of the Heisman contender list.
But clearly Lincoln Riley gave him a run for his money yesterday.
Photo finish but yes Lanning wins.
COOGs 🤣
At home too.
Only a hard core duckie fan would defend Lanning's imbecilic approach to beating the Huskies yesterday. It was fantastic to see the ducks go down wide right after Lanning had already cost them the game.
Both Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams also stunk up the joint. So I'd call it a three-way tie, but also add utla's so-called frosh phenom QB, who is actually a bonafide disaster so far.
Lanning is learning nothing as a coach. He is making the same stupid blunders this year as he did last year. ou can't learn when you are an idiot. If he wasn't propped up by Nike dollars his recuiting would be in crapper too. Bet you are glad you signed him to that ridiculous long term contract over winter. Still have to play against two well coached teams in Utes and Beavs. Ducks will be lucky to win either. Glad you aren't worried about these games. Hate to see you lose and worry about it.
Oregon controls its destiny . Win out and it's playoffs .
Some losses are better than others.
SC had a bad loss. Looked bad . Season over. Looked poorly coached.
Caleb exposed himself probably won't be number one pick now.
If the 3 Caleb had the worst day. sc
Lol...whatever makes you sleep better at night. To have both your QB and coach do a face-plant vs your rival and give up a top 5 position that USC has maybe had once since the Carroll years I think is worse.
I personally would rather have an aggressive coach who takes chances than one who plays it safe. You're gonna lose games like this that way, but you're also going to win games that way.
Penix was going to march down the field either way whether he starts from the 20 or the 50. If you don't make it on fourth down, you still set up a situation where you can give yourself enough time for the chance for the tie at the end. And that's exactly what happened. Sure, Oregon missed the FG, but at least you had a chance rather than have no time left after UW goes up by 3. And that's what would have happened had Oregon punted.
Football isn't for the faint of heart.
IDK. Lanning has a system and a program that is ready to complete. He has a style that is crazy aggressive. Like Kiffin or The Pirate. You win some. You lose some. Caleb is losing millions under 208s and Kliff's coaching but he'll be fine. 208 appears hopeless and clueless. Going into next year's schedule, the biggest loser is us.
Clearly Lanning wins the Dummy of the day award. To go for it on 4th down from the 46 with the lead and only a couple minutes left and give Wash. that kind of field position is unbelievable. Ore went 0 for 3 on 4th down attempts.
