The gap got closed fast. Even G5 schools can now compete with the Portal

But now you are seeing a push to a P2 and making those player's employees. The SEC wants that separation back.

Until then , the NC is open to about ten teams.

Of the 12 playoff teams, my guess is that 4-5 of the teams will be from the SEC on a regular basis. Maybe 1 or 2 more teams if they don't win it for a few years 😀. The gap may be closing but the odds will remain in the SEC's favor as long as the corrupt playoff committee is in the mix.

We have no idea. The system changes again next year with the 12 team playoff. And there are rumors the ncca is going to step in and regulate the NIL "very soon." 😂 Complete joke. Probably the second worst run sport behind boxing.

Sure do. It was never a corrupt free system, but look at the shit show we have now. At least we had the majority of kids playing at one school for 3-5 years.... in the end, money always wins.

The NCAA needs to be dismantled and rebuilt from the very bottom. Call it something else but run it like a streamlined business with absolute guidlines, not the arbitrary mess there is now. Being a private organization, schools can sign on without all of the court interference. Schools that want to continue with the current free-for-all can form their own semi-pro conference, then I guess they can set their own rules like minimal education requirements to say those players are enrolled 'students' of that university. Face it, most of those high level athlete are not interested in school anyway.
