Porter Gustin cut by Browns

NFL coaches place a high premium on TE's who can block. Lewis was a good pass catching TE earlier in his career and his blocking ability has kept him in the league. There are a whole bunch of TE's in the league that we've never heard of solely because of their blocking ability. On the flip side, there are a bunch of really good pass catching TE's from college who have short NFL careers because they were poor blockers. Caleb Wilson is a good example. He'll probably just bounce around from one practice squad to another.

You make it sound like Griffin's career is over. He could sign with another team. NRC could sign with someone as well.

Yes, disappointing NFL career thus far, but he's still in the league making money, hopefully headed toward a pension.
