Heard a reliable story just tonight about Rattler when he was at the Elite 11 a few years ago. World is not big enough for his ego & is not well liked by his peers.
Looks like he will be in transfer portal soon.
Walking off the field while your team celebrates a huge come from behind win, while you were on the bench sans a 2-pt conversion is a bad look.
I watch OU quite a bit, Williams has the support of the team, at least on TV. Rattler is like a bad version of Corrall/Slovis, not a lot of love there from the mates.
He was replaced by a much better QB. The kid was rated the #1 QB in HS last year and doesn't appear to make the bonehead throws that Rattler did. Rattler has had time to improve on that but still hasn't. The frosh on the other hand looks like he's been starting for awhile (of course that was after 1 1/2 games). Rattler would be smart to stay in college one more year, enter the portal and go to a team that doesn't mind his playmaking goofs because he has a whip for an arm..
Rattler turns the ball over too much. Bad penchant to have when you are playing the only position that touches the ball on every play. That 1992 game was fun the season was not. Dwight McFadden @running back is what I remember. That 1992 team imploded on smith, even tho they were spackled with talent mcginest, sehorn, Johnson.
Expect Rattler to enter the portal. Arizona could use a QB....and an OL, DL, LB, DB, RB, WR....
