well, CFB and NCAA needed deal with the inequity of the sport decades ago, back in the 50s really. Some players have always been looking for the bag - eric dickerson is the perfect example - so this isn't really new, just more pervasive, but the team element of the game wouldn't be at risk like it is now. This absolutely had to be dealt with when coaches salaries exploded. CFB and CBB have been totally hypocritical since the 80s.

He went to ASU since he couldn't transfer from one SEC school to another..against SEC rules...so after spending a year at ASU he goes back to the SEC at UGA....kinda reminds me of the NG from A&M that went to USC for a couple breakfasts and then went back to the SEC by leaving USC and going to Auburn I believe...
