Its interesting you say that. I have noticed a perception in people in LA toward them. See them as middle easterners. Dishonest, cheaters. One of my main suppliers are Armenians who probably fit that. In Fresno where I grew up, they were known as hard working very honest people. Very upstanding. You might view their distrust from the USSR. I see it as coming from the Turk slaughter. Look that one up. Pretty horrifying.

I am torn about the training, but IMO it does do something beneficial for the owners of the company. It does show that you have institutional control as long as you follow basic HR protocols and the problems are not coming from high level managers or the owners themselves. It makes it much more difficult to prove that the company is lax on compliance or fosters a culture of harassment if someone is going after them without merit or with ill intentions. It does cost a ton though.

what’s frustrating is this is just one agency. And there are many. Notification requirements. Posters. Making sure employees have access to health care and are notified of their rights. Don’t hire illegals but don’t ask them if they are. Mandatory tracking of hours . Because every 40 hours they get 10 minutes of vacatikn time.

the level of tkme effort compliance and “gotcha” government here is really astounding. I am getting to the point I need to have someone on staff who could spend 20-30 hours a week just keeping me out of trouble. And here I thought that was what my wife was for

I would wager that sometime in the future there will be a "union of California workers" or something similar. Just a state-wide all encompassing monster. The youngsters these day are all for it. They would give up everything for the mirage of "safety". I am sure that is something my kids will have to deal with if/when they take over. I used to like the saying "If you don't fly first class one day your kids will", but I am beginning to believe there won;t be much left to leave to them if these leftists get their way.
