Riley better start scanning the JC's

Carroll was in every game. never blown out his first year. Biggest mistake was letting the kids take the travel money and drive to Vegas. I posted at the time that would be a disaster. sc

@San Clemente Agreed, but the biggest mistake, not sure who made it, was that fake punt in South Bend. But yes, even with the early losses it was obvious to me that Pete was building something.

I know one thing...you keep repeating how Stoops left Riley with talent yet Stoops accrording to ESP had an average recruiting class over the previous 4 years before Riley took over with a ranking of #17 in the country. After Riley took over Oklahoma average recruiting ranking was #12 in the country....that is a huge improvement over the level of players Stoops recruited over what Riley has done ....and over his last five year period Stoops record was 51-14. Riley in his four year period was 55-10. Not saying OU wasn't talented but the fact you keep downplaying the improvement in recruiting and the improvement in winning record is telling. Let me add in the five years under Riley OU with the first 2 with Stoops defensive assistants they had an average ranking in the Big 12 of finishing at 5.0. In the last three years with the hiring of Grinch their defense averaged in the Big 12 2.66. Again a huge improvement. Perhaps you should consider this in your take of Riley
