Riley didn’t go to the home visit . Makes me wonder if Donte was the only one that wanted Pleasant. I have read comments from other recruits about how the entire staff got involved in recruiting them.
This is all BS, and a way for USC fans to try and put pressure on the AD to fire Grinch and hire someone else. The kids Mom got the bag, and Daddy was PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSED. Someone is getting their nails did today!
So the kid is all butthurt because Grinch wasn't calling him every day. If so, he belongs in oregon. Typical crying thin-skin duck. All this recruiting gossip is sickening. No credibility.
It came down to $$$$. That's always the case vs Oregon.
I don't agree with much that Riley and Co do, but passing on kids that are coming with their hand out is a good move. USC needs to help players optimize marketing their images once they sign on, but out-right quid pro quo is a silly way to go.
I think it’s the very problem I’ve been predicting here. From day 1 with all the transfers.
same cause. different way it’s playing out than expected. USC I assumed would go portal and create divisions within their own ranks. Loyalty. Old recruits. Families versus newcomers. Revolving door depth chart.
instead it’s doing all that with recruiting classes. I figured it would be a 1-2 year thing and have short term benefits but would have to pivot.
usc is paying for proven talent so to speak and keeping it 1-3 years. Oregon is payint hs kids and banking on keeping the good ones 3-5 Kids in hs would rather join a program that’s not going to go recruit Alabama 3rd string OT to come in and start over you. But recruits hs kids and each year you know your competition and get your turn to play.
riley was right. We are and we’re surprised how fast it could be built or turned around. Now let’s see how long it can be sustained. I don’t believe The way he’s doing it can sustain long term. Let’s see
Won't be the first time Schrader committed suicide and somehow survived. Ask old timers about the shet he pulled on an old recruiting football site when he took their money for inside info and then never showed up to give out that info and then went into drug rehab...lots of folks lost faith in anything this guy says after that. I never subscribed to that nonsense but I sure remember the outbursts about the guy on their regular website from those folks that paid for his info and never got anything but empty promises. At one time though the guy had an amazing record of predictions so there is that..

We lost Rodrick because Grinch didn't want him? Really? You don't slow play sub 10.2, many options with that speed. I find it hard to believe
