Makes sense, BB. The only thing I question is (excluding HIPAA rules, of course, and I think as a somewhat public figure making $XX million you maybe aren't allow the same levels of privacy as others), why not just come out and say "Coach has pneumonia. We expect him to recover shortly, but we are elevating others in case the illness lingers beyond Friday".
If this had been any other Monday, where USC was likely coming off of a W, it wouldn't be an issue really. But after a heartbreaking loss, one taking SC out of CFP contention plus maybe even p12 championship contention, it made the college football world stand up and take notice. Nervous breakdown? Eying the NFL? What?
Probably not the best look, at least short term imo, for the SC football program.
I agree LAD. And I'm not sure why this staff treats giving information to the media like a national secret. A win or loss the previous Saturday wouldn't matter.
One of CLR's problems seems to be flexibility. Don't think it'd be too difficult to change or tweek his policy with the press. He has to be smarter.
The fact people are calling out a coach for faking a potential serious illness, BS rumors of extramarital affairs, etc is pathetic and says something about that person imo. They're simply pissed off about 2 losses. Lmao, and so am I, but get a hold of yourself.
Still believe you should post what you want,,, it's a free country. And still free in large part because of those who fought/died for this country, despite what "unknown poster" says about them. The guy is pro gay Tex A&M cheerleaders, and labels US military personnel as "murderers." Ouch, tough to post, but since we're all letting it fly.

How does a fit, 40 year old get pneumonia in LA? It's obviously not COVID or he wouldn't be at practice today.
