Rollinson is a lying asshole. Tells the injured kid's dad that he would be a milliionaire if he got a $100 for every time his players played "Slappies" or "Bodies". He then proceeds to tells the investigator that he has never heard that term before. I would pay $100 to Rollie if he wanted to play slappies with me. I would bitch-slap that stupid mustache of his off his face.
@Pasadena Trojan my daughter graduated in 2002. Tuition was $12,500.
per semester. She did qualify for a tuition grant of $5000. Per semester So we paid $7500 each semester. Not that bad. She paid her own room and board. And only was there 5 semesters because she did her first two years at junior college. However according to San Clemente her degree does not count sense she transferred from JC. personally I think he is a moron but that is my opinion.
Only trouble I see is after the fact when he made it no big deal to the kids parent. Fights in locker rooms happened when I was in school snd it was between players.
Apparently all the schools in California that have power programs whetehr they by Parochial schools or Public schools recruit...the difference at MD is the kids go to classes and have to pass courses...the four kids that transferred to a Public school did so to graduate cause they couldn't get past MD acadmeic requirements..they were 4* and 5* athletes...and the school theu transferred to was being investigated for giving out grades like handing out candy on halloween...the coach and a few others were eventually fired...goes on everywhere....and yes Servite in the 60's did recruit...along with Mater Dei...I knew several players on the friars that got good deals to attend...some nothing more then not paying tuition which was quite costly at the time for many parents...others getting financial assistance...
@OldHickoryTrojan FYI when I started Serra in 1958 tuition was $75 a semester when I graduated in 1962 it was $150. Tuition at USC my first year was $600 a semester and my last year was $750. Graduated in 1966. My how times have changed. many of me teachers at Serra were priests who really wanted to be a parish priest not a teacher. And no none ever did anything out of line at the time.
@firenze5 It cost mre in the late 60's to go to Servite but then again besides tuition they expected a weekly donations to the church and they had requirements onb how much that was to be....it wasn't that cheap for anyone that wasn't making decent income...sure the hell wasn't $150 a semester...
@OldHickoryTrojan at Serra every parent particularly the moms were encouraged/required to do voluntary work. My mom worked in the kitchen on a regular basis.when St ignatius in San Francisco went co-Ed it was rumored they wanted to cut down on Asian students who while they paid their tuition on time , they did very little volunteering to help the school. That’s the rumor anyway. By the way I once got a ride home from Jim Fregosi who later starred for the Angels . He is still the greatest all around athlete in Serra History. A four sport star recruited in football basketball baseball and track.
a better all around athlete than either Brady or Bonds. Good guy too
I think you might be referring to what recently happened in my small corner of Texas. We know it had nothing to do with recruiting, the local high school really sucks in football.
retirement but in reality he will be pushed out the door. This whole situation really makes Mater Dei look bad. I am not a fan of Rollinson. When he had his quarterback throwing the ball all over field in the championship game vs Serra despite being up 30 midway in the 4th quarter showed a lack of class. Truth in advertising I am a Serra alum.
@Pasadena Trojan the CA public schools can not field enough beans, dabs and chinamen to teams. So, the football players in those districts have no choice but to aggregate in the Catholic Schools.
How weird is it that players on the same team don't even know each others names? That's what happens when you get 50 guys transfer in and out every year. Free Agency High School.

USC was $7500 per semester in 1989. $15k for year. then again who knows maybe that was my last year.
Didnt include books, room or Board.
Tuition only.
So It went up 10 fold in 20 years???
Makes sense.

Samething happened in Texas…. Three teammates jumped another teammate and put him in the hospital. skull fracture, bleeding brain.
Makes no sense, why are they attacking each other?
Interesting.
Hate to see that from a Coach. Yep that’s not a class move.
No need to embarrass the opponent.
One way or the other he will be gone
He is 70 and now a liability. Look for a

LMAO!!! Nice TS
This reads like the movie A Few Good Men.
Officer: Did you order the code red?
Rollinson: You're damn right I did
F MD & all parochial HS FB factories
They are ruining HS FB
one clarification. BIG parochial school guy here. Just not the FB racket they run.
Wonder if that changes the play-offs
What the Catholic Church hiding crime ... no

Not a bad job. I bet ucla would love to get one of their guys in there. Of course Mora would’ve turned down he job.
