Nua was the edge guy at Michigan when they had one of the best pass rushers in CFB. That was his natural coaching position. He had issues with Grinch when Grinch was the DC about the undersized DL...I think that is the move and if they get the RAMS DL Coach this should be a damn good Defense up front...with that said Manning was USC's best recruiter when you look at the guys he brought in...hopefully none jump to the Portal
Not a surprise. I msaid one of both of the LB coaches that Lincoln brought with him from OK, both of them Grinchey boys. Were gone.
Soon as the guy from NDSU arrived, I knew they were gone.
Personally I would have one LB coach. Don't need two. Have one secondary coach too, though they obviously have two.
Shame there's no room for Taylor Mays here. But with present staff they only need 4 coaches.
On Offense they need a RB coach an OL coach and a TE/WR coach.
I think you're allowed 9 awssistants. Or maybe it's 9 total. And the S&C guy doesn't count.
If you're allowed 9 assistants, USC above only needs 7. Perfect. Bring one in to coach ST and have another be some superfluous add in while really being the recruiting coordinator.
Here's one...maybe he finds more satisfaction coaching kids than he does dealing with the egomaniacs and tilted veterans that he deals with in the Pro's and thinks the path for becoming a HC is simpler in college than the NFL
I've heard USC may feature tackling by its linebackers this year. Concepts like pursuit angles, filling gaps, and aggressive pursuits may follow.
Evidently, the old concept of waiting until the play is essentially over to run to the wrong spot may fall into disfavor.
So Lynn has pretty much replaced everyone except Nua? Had to be done. If the Rams coach comes on board what happens with Nua?
