Rumblings about Grinch getting stronger

The talk from people supposedly in the know up here for the game is that he won't be back. He gone.

I suppose that isn't or shouldn't be news. Look for USC to open up the bank vault for the next hire. I didn't hear any names but it's probably way too early for that.

The question for Jen Cohen is bigger than just finding 208 a DC. She also needs to find him an adult OC or a babysitter like Sark has. 208 has proven that he can't handle the HC and OC responsibilities at the same time.

Jen Cohen must be scratching her head. How the hell are we payong this inexperienced child $10M and giving him the jet and a $20m house. BOHNED!!!

Riley isn't going to relinquish the OC role, and he's too incompetent for the HC decisions.

This is still not going to end well regardless of a DC change.

Unless your season has completely hit rhe skids. Like texas a & m annual skids. Or 3-4 stuff. You don't toss people. Anyone. Mid season.

Oklahoma had wanted to keep Grinch. And Riley convinced him to come. You might recall he was not at the opening press conference or on the plane. Riley thought he was coming, but was not sure at that time.

So to get him to come required some personal convincing. He was hired like early December. Little to no time to recruit. Probably got a 2 year contract. Maybe w a one year option afterward.

So with all that you don't toss him

After one year when you begged him to come. And then did not give him proper time to assemble any players, and only one Spring to work his system. That's why 2023 has been key. And who knows. If he magically gets it together the rest of the year I'm sure he saves his job. Oregon ucla and uw provide plenty of opportunity for that.

Do I think it's going to happen? Nope. But that's the time frame you need to give people. Assistant, coaches, and coordinators get 1 to 2 years to make something happen. Head coaches get about 3 to 4. Of course, bad behavior, like showing up drunk to a football family picnic, popping pills and all that stuff fastens things.
