Sacks & TFLs late in 4th Q was when the D knew ASU had to pass

Poor tackling and weakness on the edge was frustrating. The D ain't gonna cut it against better teams. What is the over & under on how many games before Grinch is Tarmaced?

Also, CLR called a poor game. 1st & goal at the four YL and he doesn't call more running by Lloyd? The run game would have run ASU into the ground. TO after rceiving the kick?

riley refuses to commit to the running when its the best option. again, ex qb ocsand hcs tend to view the running gane as a necessary evil/wasted down that only serves the purpose of keeping the D honest. this is bs and is not the proper approach to the game.

We could have really worn them down, which would then liberate CW later on as they tire and are concerned with the run.

exactly. clr needs to realize that a true run game will only open up the passing attack. this is why mckay and robinson were so successful with their sbl/r attacks when they really were running wide open attacks. anthony davis gets credit for the 74 nd comeback, but if you really pay attention to how the comeback transpired, it was haden/jkmckay and the passing attack.

Offense was out of sync. LR should have run the ball more. They could not stop our run. Defense was solid and 8 sacks is 8 sacks. No one and I mean no one can truly stop anyone these days.

Lot better than last year. And yes we WILL have trouble with big strong offensive lines like Notre Dame. Just going to have to outscore those teams.

Say, didn't another team stop ASU just the other week. Poor tackling isn't the result of what the other team is doing. Better than last year? Yes, in the sense that a "D" is better than the previous "F".

Season starts at ND. Colorado should be a layup but I see a 48-30 kind of game. Who knows with Grinch and an offense that can't seem to snap the ball without penalties.

Will be interesting if Caleb can carry the team over the past 6 games. Would be unreal. Sadly, I see 2-3 losses.

This team is going to lose 4 games. Hopefully just 3.

It could have all been avoided with a competent defensive coordinator and emphasis on the fundamentals. That's it. No wrist playbooks for players. No fancy coverages. Just good containment, tackling, etc.
