Should have looked elsewhere like the Big12 as Josh Pate said a few days ago the Big 12 is probably the second best conference in the country and the ACC is slightly better then the PAC12 which is the weakest Big 5 conference in the country...question ..will the Big 10 which has 16 teams play all 7 games in their division, 2 or 3 in the other Big 10 division and then the last 2 or 3 games OOC ? West coast teams better start practicing in refrigerators moving to that conference...pretty dumb if you ask me....or start playing football in June;-)
SquatstoPee, no they wouldn't have agreed you fawking retard. UCLA and USUC were a package deal despite the fact that UCLA ass raped USUC 62-33. Be glad the Big 10 overlooked that.
Know your facts you fawking moron. Big 10 wants schools with huge research money. UCLA 1.7B, UW 1.5B USUC 1.2B. These are the whales the BIG10 wants and needs to add academic prestige. If you read more and posted much less, you would know this. OR not up there with the big boys wrt research $, but their athletic success and rivalry with UW will get them added as well.
som graduated college. Played nice nice w ex. Guava. Made him happy. Managing two houses when present wife still works and her kids are in hs means I have to do it all. And that’s not been easy. I got COVID again. And I’m vaxed. That’s like 3 times now.
went to Ireland and Scotland for almost a month. Like driving through OHio. Indiana penn. That wrong side of car and road stuff sucks. Almost killed others and myself 3-4 times.
business is roaring back post COVID but hiring anyone in their 20s is a nightmare. $17? $18? Meh. Why would I sweep floors or run that machine for $18 an hour? Obviously I’m floored. No such thing as entry level to these kids. I have a solid crew of like 14 full timers who are long timers. And then we have - group of 6-7 young ones in their 20s? And it’s a revolving door. Don’t want to sound old but back in my day ….
marine son leaking out of planes at night now at lkke 15,000 ft. Packing his own chute. Giving me a freaking heart attack.
so between trying to get the business back and the travel above and seeing wife at one house or the other and like “oh yeah I remember you”.
oh yeah and my investments have absolutely cratered. I went from Uber wealthy to hold onto your @$$ because this thing is rolling downhill fast. I’ve got so many options expiring soon I’m not even sure of how to get out of half these messes. Good news is business is making 6 figures first half of year and I’m hoping to sustain or grow that.
i haven’t been sitting around. I promise. Oh. I did play a round of golf for the first time. I’ve played 4 now. I shot a 72. pretty good huh? Shot 72 on the back 9 too. Went from 144 to 137 to 127 to 122. At this rate I will be on the pga tour in like what. 9-12 more rounds?
I think this is just the start of the defections. More to come. But figured it would be 4 super conferences of 16 teams each. Now looking more like 2 super conferences of 20-25 teams each.
SF market too large to keep out. But market size not as important these digital days as eyeballs. FSU, Clemson, Oregon, maybe Washington to follow imo....
So if this goes down, what do the divisions look like?It would make sense to put SC/UCLA in the west. Which means one school in the west would need to move east.
Purdue is in the west, but Indiana is in the east. Purdue is the most eastern school in the west….it makes the most sense to move Purdue into the east with Indiana.Conference could look like:EAST-Ohio StMichiganMichigan StPedd StMarylandRutgersIndianaPurdueWEST-SCUCLANebraskaIowaIllinoisWisconsinMinnesotaNorthwestern
All valid points, Augie. I was speaking from the point of view of the players. They're the ones competitively disadvantages by the unbalanced travel schedule.
Understand that if this deal goes through and the divisions resemble yours, SC will play only 1 East Division roadie per year, meaning the trip to Columbus comes once every 8 years.
I haven't even started thinking about what a bitch the basketball schedule will be.
Good luck with that. Find it hard to think the Big 10 would place Ohio St and Michigan in the same division. Personally this should have ben worked out before any agreement...as well as the approach for scheduling.
Waldorfs house is like the playboy mansion. See you in the grotto. Waldorf also organizes boat parties on Lake Minnetonka. Hook it up Waldorf, like u did for the vikings
I have a tool shed out back, near the outhouse. It will accommodate about 4. But you can have the couch. I'll even thrown in a continental breakfast: corn flakes and beer.

UCLA and USC could top 100M in media rights in the Big 10.
Why would USC be dragged down bringing ucla with it?
Maybe for basketball? Ucla people don’t even care about ucla football.
Whoregon with SC makes much more sense.
ps the big ten network is everything the pac 12 network isn’t . CACHING. sc
This is a wonderful plan.
Lincoln Riley after hearing the news

Will UCLA be allowed by the state of California to play these BIG10 schools? Hasn't California banned commerce to most of these states?

There will be only two conferences eventually it seems. They will be HQ'd in the two areas that care the most about CFB: deep south and midwest
What a terrible turn of events. No interest in B10, or going to mid west road games every 2 weeks. Also looks like we might see B12 and P12 combine?
