Me, not expecting a win in Happy Valley especially after beating them in the CCG last year. So no undefeated season this year for sure.
Toughest other games (in order of relative toughness): At Iowa in November, vs USC (you KNOW Riley wants that W over Lanning!), at Washington (rivalry game where anything can happen especially away, but honestly imo Washington doesn't have the horses to stay with Oregon). Wisky in Autzen won't be easy.
Basically a loss at Penn St plus 1 other loss gets a playoff berth. A 9-3 or 8-4 season would be a disappointment and would mean that either or both of Dante Moore and Austin Novosad aren't there yet. Not what we quacks are hearing, but you never know.
I see it very similarly LA. If Penn State is ever going to get over in this conference, it has to be this year, right? That offense with the O line and those backs will be hard to deal with. Biggest question marks for them are the HC and QB1. Both have faltered in the big games.
I think our schedule is manageable in that our road games aren't the toughest teams outside of Penn St. Don't overlook that home game with Indiana. Curious to see what they look like in year 2 under Cignettii. They have that game circled for sure.
We do have the dreaded four conf road games in Cent/East time zones. SO does UCLA this year. USC and UW only have three each this cycle. not sure if that flips every other year or not because of the unbalanced scheduling.
Did you watch the officiating USC got from the Big last year? Based upon that I would say there is more to winning these games than the schools they are playing and where they are playing
BTW USC has no one to blame but themselves for the timezone situation. And if the B1G hadn't let in Oregon (against Folt's and fans' wishes) and Washington, it would have been worse for our Trojan friends.
Well the Big 10 sent USC an apology for screwing them out of a win during last season when the officials made a terrible call. Didn't help the won loss record so there is one time and ...so no I'm not going to say that USC was not getting the short end of the stick in the Big when there is proof they were. Read this morning the Offensive Line is being taught to hold since the Big never calls it and USC didn't play that way but this season plans to change. That again says something about the officiating being one sided so USC is adapting to it.
Let me add..Josh Pate came out with a list of the most hated football programs in the country and guess who was on it? USC made the list ...so again I'm not closing my eyes to this.
So how do you see Oregon's schedule, Saw?

Playing again at autzen. Aren't you guys above THAT?
Road conference games are difficult, especially traveling two or three timezones.
You forgot @Oregon
We go 3-2 vs Mich and those four road games….all will be ranked….then we’re in the playoffs at 10-2.
