That's what the press release says anyways.
HOW? you ask.
Well. they sold 70 thousand tickets.
UH, you wonder, doesn't the joint hold over a 100 grand? 104 if memory serves me. which it used to do a lot more.
You see they need to have a place to put the tarps.
Now I wasn't a bidness major like Lord Sanka of the fake lake, but since general admission seats for utla seats at the rose bowl sale for 129 bucks, just maybe, there should have been a meeting, and perhaps consider taking the tarps down and sell a few more tickets? Again, not a bidness major.
How about just let a bunch of poor future felon kids sit there? That's what SC used to do to try to make the coliseum look full.
Did the tarp sleep with someone ? Why is the tarp so special to bruins? IT's not like they put heisman numbers on them.
You know me, always trying to help. Here is a way for utla to sell out all next year too. sc
Just let that sink in Trojans, people would rather have a tarp over the seat than take your money and let you in.
They wouldn't sell more tickets even if they took all the tarps down. And a lot of the tickets already sold are going to be re-sold (i.e. scalped) to SUC fans anyway. I think, in part, the UCLA athletic Dept. doesn't want the Rose Bowl to be a sea of red and yellow SUCsters, but it's going to be anyway. It would just be worse if they took down the tarps.
Why do you care? You're the yahoo who always brags about never attending games, so if you want to help out then buy a ticket and go. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.
They trumped-up the number with 16,700 UCLA students at very deeply discounted prices. Expect scalping galore. Covering seats for a rivalry game is a symptom of the deep pervasive dumbness that has given UCLA a 3 year athletics deficit of $102.8 million. Donations are down to under $8,000,000 for ugly.
