Here is what I am hoping to see.
CLR forces the Grinch to give up on the gamble , loss of contain, turnovers and tfl's over wrapping up tackles, secondary being confuse more than the the utah quarterback, speed players over size defense.
Caleb decides to run when it's right infront of him. And do what won him the heisman. It wasn't his arm. Watch how good that will make the o line look. lmao.
No huge special SC teams disaster.
Do those three things at home, on grass, without joe dirt , and I think SC wins .
I don't think Utah is all that. should be frustrating and fun to watch. Which is what USC football is these days.
it's a television show. sc
USC will hit some big passes downfield which helps propel them to the win, at least I hope so, as I have USC in a teaser with Stanford. USC a pick em with Stanford +24.
Caleb will definitely miss his reads, be slow to make a decision and then run around like a chicken with his head cut off. Great coaching. 🙄
Looks like the post I made or was making and got wiped.
I see usc by 7-10.
thinknthey need to stunt and twitch and shirt and gamble. Play man coverage because Utah is going to run. A lot. Better have your safeties running all day. This is a mason Cobb and Tackett curtis game.
If Caleb doesn't run the d doesn't loosen up. USC knows this. It's why they were trying to get branch the ball on screens and reverses.
Caleb needs to take the 5 yard pass. It's there. Yac is magic. Let your receivers show off. Montana did. Worked great. Also allows for quick and easy decisions. Gets the O into a flow.
Once the above happens run lanes open. Tight end finds himself alone. And you can pop some occasional deep routes. Caleb became too dependent on the Hr.
I think the d knows what's coming. Think branch might be an X factor on special teams.
If usd is willing to gain. 4 yards at a time. Not run the dumb play clock out every down and force his ol to freeze in the set position for 30 seconds every play. Think usc moves up and down the field and scores plenty enough. USC will be stopped about as many times as Utah gets through.
It will be frustrating as hell. I still think we will need some over the top passes to win. Will the o-line hold up?
Everyone is betting on an easy SC win. Feels unlikely. You can bet Utah will love to finish us off and accelerate the tailspin.
Hope I'm wrong.
