A NIL initiative is coming to USC football. A donor-run name, image and likeness (NIL) collective is coming to the Trojans program, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times. This comes on the heels of SMU reportedly putting an NIL collective in place for football and basketball players Monday. However, the Times' report states this group of donors and fans is going against the USC administration’s wishes.

NCAA is powerless. NIL is the present and future. It’s wise to enter that arena full steam, otherwise SC will get mowed over.
We’ve lost out on a couple recruits because of this, our top recruit visiting the top paying school as we speak.
SC absolutely cannot win without embracing NIL payouts
It's much cleaner to keep it old school and just pay cash to friends and family, right boys? No need to get Uncle Sam involved (unless his nephew is a 5 star).
I say, let FB players play for tips.
the more the merrier. It's an arms race so as long as USC has support groups willing to help the FB Program succeed the better. After reading the article I didn't care for the BLVD's approach on use of the funds either. I don't give a shet how the administration feels about it as they appear to be slow walking and not gaining any edge in the wave of NIL deals other programs have jumped on
