@San Clemente Give me a break that BS is old... and just because you don't like it is no
reason for you to act like a big crybaby... the fact that they have been the superior school n CFB for most of the lat 10 years or so....you can't take it....and why should they leave the South ever when the best football is played by the schools in the South....not the east, not the midwest, and definitely not the west....I'm susprised that they don't play all home games...they have fan support, TV support, and as amongst the best football programs ever why shoukd they travel. Let the challeners come to them not the other way around...they have nothing to prove.....their record stnads for itself
Basically a home game for the Mighty Tigers of Auburn. And they didnโt have to cross state lines, basically a home game.
Portal and NIL lost this game for War Eagle with transfers and guys sitting out. Just goes to show you that there are really only 3 meaningful games in Bowl Season until they expand the playoffs, of course.
@firenze5 McCaffrey was very banged up at the end of his last season at Stanford. He had missed a number of snaps that season anyway....and was not anywhere near being completely healed. He could ill afford to injure/re-injure anything with the NFL Combine looming. I'm sure he did not make this decision in a vacuum. There was a lot of moving parts to the decision. He had "carried the mail" and took a physical pounding for Stanford and his teammates for years. The game was meaningless. I'm sure Stanford would have wanted him to play.....but I can guarantee you that David Shaw knew what was going on and while disappointed....probably new McCaffrey made the right decision that could have cost him $Millions if he got injured or re-injured.
@Masked Man personally I have no problem with a player skipping a minor bowl to avoid an injury that might hurt his nfl chances and paycheck. Players owe neither the school, the coaches or the fans anything. I do think in a major bowl game they do owe something to their fellow teammates but that is just my opinion. I am not going to flog some kid particularly if he comes from a poor background from skipping a bowl game.
Spot on and that fired former loser dipshit ex SC coaches can find some sucess in that BS based league
Home game in Birminghamโฆ.and they still canโt beat an American conference team.
Pathetic.
