easy fix
1. recruit Tonga and Samoa for the front four, if resources allow, LA and enjoy the food
2. recruit Samoa and SEC for linebackers, of course keeping an eye on FL, TX, OH & PA
3. don't stop recruiting Kenya for the back five
4. Keep the door open to any players developed by the SC farm system; AKA the PAC
The most obese Africans are Lybians. Egypt and South Africa are next. They could blow up some plays for us but not in a football way.Non starter. However on a brighter note Tongans and Samoans rank as some of the fattest fuckers on the planet. And there are a lot of those in America. There is our solution. Gentry stands out as a skinny dude, but the rest of the D is good size. Seems to me that if you play with 3 Dline guys you want a 300+ guy in the middle. except Grinch doesn’t play a true 3 man front. He often has 2 huge DE standing up at the line. Tuli at 290 at DE is great size. Someone can correct me but as I recall Grinch at Wazzu beat us in 2017 with a 250lb Dline nose, Hercules was his first name. I thought we would run him over but we didn’t. Wazzu and Grinch had the 16th best defense in the country that year. With a lot of Kenyans on his D front. That Wazzu team was 9th in turnovers, a Grinch staple. There are some big dudes visiting USC this weekend. Everyone is impatient but Riley knows what he needs to do. Executing a plan in sports, life or business is always the tough part. I have seen many business plans that made millions of dollars on paper but having the right people to execute is the hard part.

There is a distinct difference between the size of our guys vs the other team. It was very noticeable from my seat at Reser as I was watching warmups. Especially along the DL and LB. Safties and corners are SKIIIINNNNYYYYY....especially lower body. Which probably explains why they don't like to tackle anyone. Also why I came up with the Kenyan nick. You all made fun and look who turned out to be right...hmmmmm
If we really had the size we wouldn't see every team run us over. Even Tulane ran us over and that team was the closest in terms of size. Let me ask you...is there anyone along our DL that looks like Leonard Williams? Jurrell Casey? Sedrick Ellis? Darrell Russell? Kenechi Udeze? How about at LB...Rey Mauluga, Bryan Cushing, Chris Claiborne, etc...
Like I said after game 1 this season - until we get a D1 sized defense we will continue to lose to the elites and elite lites. And that's exactly how it turned out.
