Great game. That #12 for WVU is a beast. The RB for Pitt made some huge plays and Slvis played well. Half those sacks were just him holding onto the ball too long. Looked like Rob Johnson. But he came through when it counted and Daniels choked.
Yah, something happened with Slovis where he just decided at some point that he was going to hold the ball until he felt comfortable throwing it. He wasn't like that when he first came on the scene.
I thought JT played better. Slovis looked like a deer in the headlights too many times during the game and was only effective when they got him out of their under center offense. JT was handicapped by Harrell and his wide receivers who dropped some key passes and in fact led to the interception that won the game for Pitt. Perfect throw but the receiver tipped it to the defender....
JT was betrayed by his receivers and the int returned for the td was a perfect pass that should have been a big play. Slovis played well and JT deserved better..
I agree , JT played better than Slovis but his receivers let him down in the most grotesque way. The game ended with a receiver unable to make a catch at the one yard line.
Nice stats for Slovis. was surprised to see that. ChuckNduck is done. May be the Best practice player the game has ever seen. The game itself , not so much. sc
Not so sure, the pick was an RCI, Receiver Caused Int. Take that away and I thought it was good battle between the two. Pitt looked like it had better OL and running game. Whereas JT was under more duress.
As others have said, Daniels is handicapped by Harrell. Yards per attempt pretty low - esp. in the first half, they don't stretch the field at all. Certainly not vertically. Slovis is going to get killed with that o-line.
Not to mention 2 outstanding defensive teams.
More brilliant “Run to grass” Play calling by Harrell???

Wish them both luck, it was a fun game.
