Pasadena, don't take it personal. Duce had a very good game and let's hope he'll have more games like that. But, Duce had way too many drops in the previous 8 games. Yes, we want him to succeed, but he has to put in the hard work and develop into a complete Wr.
Heck, even Z. Branch played well. Both these guys must be consistent and help their QB making tuff grabs, do not drop passes and run good routes. Heck, for the last 2 games, JK. Lane has been quiet with 0 receptions. What's going on with him?
Pasadena, Bruddah OK maybe you and Java have a thing going on? Everyone here have opinions on players, coaches, game day results, etc.... It's a discussion board. There have been a few members that said some negative things about Duce so what. Many times people disagree with my take and I accept their thoughts and go with the flow. I like Duce but he's not there yet. I've said enough about him in good length in another reply post.
Duce needs to keep working on his craft and play more consistent. Cheers.
You say it's not personal, but you keep bringing him up. Why? It seems you're trying to come back at people who disagreed with you about Duce? Like, I told you so. Brah, you are taking things personal.
Duce was a prize recruit and we were happy as sheet he chose USC. I thought we were getting another Drake London or Michael Pittman, but after his freshman season it was a little disappointing. In this Soph season, that inconsistent play were happening again, drops and running lazy routes.
OK, so he had a very good game vs Nebraska, let's see if he can keep it up. He must show that he can make tuff catches when the DB is all over him. What I've seen with Duce, if the pass is perfect he makes the catch. But when the pass is a little off he lacks strength, concentration, body control to haul it in. I come from a school, when the pass hits a Wr's hands they must haul it in.
We all like Duce, he just needs to keep working on his craft and get stronger.
Duce has talent and can make a big play, but for his size he needs to play more physically. Needs to hit the weight room this offseason. Curious how he will do at baseball...
Dropped a ton of passes early this year and having 12 catches fir 250 yards before yesterday isn’t very good. I think your answer is an indictment on the usc wr group. Or their usage.
I truly expected far more from about all of them. I didn’t have much expectation for ford or McRee so they’ve surprised me. Everyone else has just disappeared. For long stretches. And Duce and branch have had hands issues
Branch has about 20 passes that are bump passes on jet sweeps. He drops a lot of passes.
Duce is a large body hybrid TE type. A Mike Williams mold guy. He dropped a lot of passes the first 8 weeks. He had his best game with a new QB yesterday. He's had 23 college games and yesterday was his best. Probably not even a Top 100 USC WR day all time but a decent game. Had two huge catches. That makes it a good game. Doing it regularly, love to see it. Kids evolve. He's still young.
Duce needs to use his large frame to shield the defender from the ball. If the defender push hrough him it is pass interference (if it is called)

Ps You think being right one of every 8 years of a guys career makes you a genius. SO take that w a grain of salt. or an ocean of it
Who doesn't like a good deuce once in awhile?
Nah, he was very good today. 21 games into his college career he finally lived up to his press clippings. Nice to see.
I love Duce, I think he’s a solid WR.
who said he did? sc
