To be this year's USC quarterback?
Carson Palmer or Caleb Williams ? both at age 19.
The greatest trojan of em all? or superman?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Who better fits today's game? Who would win more with this team and coaching staff.
Carson is a six six guy. Caleb is 6 2 and some change. Both solid.
Carson ran a 4.6 40 . Caleb is a 4.5 guy.
Carson had a howitzer. Caleb's arm is awesome but not quite golden.
Caleb is more elusive. (posting he's not is one of the dumbest things ever posted on this board)
Carson did just about everything right. Caleb does things that are magical.
Both appear to have put the team on their back.
lots more to compare.
I think you all know who I would go with. sc
Great thread SC!
A more natural comp is Darnold vs Caleb. But yours is for sure more intriguing.
Was at Coliseum when CP3 won the Heisman against the hated Irish. Man did he spin it. Felt like you could ”hear” it. Like an old Kung Fu movie fight scene.
CP3‘s bombs were magestic arching moon shots that would drop into the the bread basket. Threw highest ball Ive ever seen.
No one was beat up as much as CP3.
No one. And man was handicapped with bad coaching and crappy teammates. Sunny Bryd and Petros no?? until Fargas came back home.
CW has had a good start at USC. Some great. Lots of good. some
bad. But hes worth watching. his unique mental mistakes are strange. Have never seen a QB not throw the ball away smh.

Today’s game?
Caleb
Carson was lucky. He played at the tail end of the pocket passers. Those days are now gone. Palmer would not be a prized recruit in the zone read era.
Its worth noting Carson prospered late, very late as I recall. Caleb is fart HEAD OF EARLY CARSON.
100% Carson but your question is a gotcha question. And begs the real questions how good is Caleb? And what is his ceiling? We don’t know yet. We might get a partial answer this Saturday vs Utah on the road.
Kind of early to be making a real comparison, ain't it?
Having met Carson, I can tell you he's no more than 6'4 Maybe shorter. Not that it matters a lot. Carson was not nearly as fast as Caleb. Those 40 times for the two of them are BS.
No one ever said Caleb isn't more elusive than Carson. He was taking tremendous hits that day. Try not to overreact , Junior. Of course, with your lengthy protests about Riley's hire and naming him 162? Naming him 162 is the far dumber call. One of the few things you actually took a stand on. Right before you backtracked and tried to cover your rear as always. Double headed dildo.
Carson at the same age was not as impressive. USC wasn't either. I'd go with Caleb assuming we did not know the future or how Carson was going to turn out.
You are incapable of envisioning the decision without taking into account what Carson became. Actually at this point of Carson's Soph year he was standing on the sideline wearing a sling. So the decision is even easier.
