Is that he is mobile then he needs to move. If the benefit is he doesn’t have passes batted down? Then having 3 in one night isn’t the idea.
The point is when you switch qb you give something up. Ability to run the system. Intelligence. Reads. And you get physical power.
Mariana isn’t running and has 3 passes knocked down.
Is miler moss even still on the roster?
Because miller absolutely would have read that safety blitz on the run play
Maine spin in a circle. Hes a dog chasing his tail. When you spin to take off. Somewhere. Anywhere but where you left your defender. I didn’t play hockey but I know that
Moss plays what I call playbook thinking football - but he is not athletic enough and for sure cannot run. Maiva is more like street ball pee wee league and can improvise - but it can be disastrous.
The key problem was only kicking 4 FG's deep inside the red zone. The O just could not punch in TD's, a potential 16 pts more, the score could have been 35 pts USC. Even if they scored 2 TD's that's 8 more pts = 27 pts USC vs 19 pts. It's been that way all season, USC gets deep into the RZ but can't produce TD's.
Maiava must improve his passing accuracy, 19/35 = 54%; that's not good. He must pass 68% to 75% completion. He's inconsistent like Moss. I was flipping games and saw 2 drop passes, how many more were dropped? Our Wr's has to take a lot of the blame. A drop pass is a momentum killer, it affects QB's confidence mucho. The good, he's 2-0 as QB1 and stopped the losing trend when Moss was QB1. So, the change is all good.
UCLA is a team with average to below average talent. Somehow, C. Foster and staff must recruit hard and get in decent players. The 2025 class looks good so far. They should go after and flip QB Jaron Keawe Sagaplutele, Campbell HS, Hi away from Cal. He won't be cheap. JKS is ranked the # 7 QB in the 2025 class and a big time QB talent.
ND is gonna kill USC ( I predict 40-21 ) next week = 6 losses, worst record vs 2023. But, these losses were so close and could have been wins. I feel this 2024 team is better vs 2023 team. There's decent talent, but there's no one that is a vocal and fierce leader. We're not getting it from the HC. Strong leadership is needed for a successful season. Cheers.
As a true freshman last season, Maiava looked better at unlv than he does at USC this season.
Truly incredible. Just not sure what CLR is thinking. Like ever.
Play calling is just terrible
Sideline passes
Corner fades
