And nonsense about losing him to being a head coach.
He had no idea how to deal with #44 going into the game or what to do about it.
Reminded me of Stanford running the same running play a few years ago and USC’s defense doing nothing different to stop it, with Stanford’s coaching staff laughing their ass off. sc
UCLA's defense is ranked higher than USC's right now.
You guys have to chill. If USC wasn’t outbid for 4-5 players they too would be undefeated. IMO the coaching staff does a great job for what that they have.
Sark, Lanning and Day aren’t geniuses. They have the best rosters money can buy.
El doctor, is it time to call Grinch back? We had a 2 TD lead and Lynn gave up 24 points in one half. Grinch may have done better. Give Grinch a call El Doctor and see if he is available.AAlex Grinchlex Grinch
That Stanford running back was Christian McCaffery. Justin Wilcox was USC's DC in that game under Helton. It was the Pac-12 Championship Game at the new 49ers Stadium. Justin Wilcox left to take a coaching job at Wisconsin. Helton was heard to have asked Wilcox what Stanford was doing on that play and how to stop it.....and Wilcox replied....."I don't know"......probably a little too much friction on the Helton staff. Wilcox left USC after that game.
Stop! There's talk inside the program that Riley has started to exercise more influence in the defensive meetings recently. This mother fawker needs to die in a fire.
Not everyone is a genius every game.
I’m still trying to figure out why you want to throw to branch on 3rs and long. Has he caught a vertical route this year? I think he and moss have the worst chemistry of any qb wr combo I’ve ever seen. And why when you have two minutes left and you’re 30 yards outside fg range to you run the clock down to 20-30 seconds. Putting everything on low percentage passes?
Btw spin around the dial and saw some other games. UCLA. Colorado ohio state oregon texas etc.
I like miller moss. I want miller moss to do my taxes or set up my will someday. But miller moss is an average qb. And I’m being generous. We wanted someone to run the offense. And that he does.
But folks who thought that well. He may not have a gun for an arm. He may not create or run or buy time. But he sure runs the o and sure makes the throws.
You’re starting to see some really bad throws. He misses a lot. He misses one where he threw it at his rb feet 5 feet away. Not sure why you’re throwing to anyone 5 feet to your right but he did. The int that lost the game shouldn’t have needed to happen but was a horrible throw. And there were others.
USC is 3-3. Most thought they’d be 3-3. I always say you get a surprise kr two either way. Beat lsu. Lost to Minnesota. Looks like they’ll be lucky to be 8-4. Nebraska uclw and nd will not be gimmes. Maybe not even Maryland and Rutgers. Or uw on the road.
Back to moss. The Ohio state qb is huge. And he runs. Some. Dillon Gabriel is a better qb. Makes me puke to say this but deions trashy kid is better. And the two qbs usc has played the last two weeks are better. The lsu kid is better. Neiderymayer? Is that a pledge pin on your uniform???
