The winning TD play showed how ready this OL was for a fist fight. We blocked the fawk out of their front 7. Had them going sideways and away from the RB. I didn't expect that. Well done, We won the trench warfare, on both sides of the LOS. Clearly
Suk it!
Great play design, RB should have gone straight , he aint Reggie
Oh yeah, our OL and DL played well. The off season S & C showed up in the game, all 4 qts. Both sides played as a unit/whole, A+ communications. 2 to 3 off sides by OL acceptable. LSU DL did shady shifting. One was called against them and 2 others were not? Inconsistency calls by the ref's.
On the run game, the OL did its job. Problem, QB Moss did not pull the ball in the mesh and run. LSU LB's just keyed on our RB's every time. Moss has got to pull and run sometimes to keep D's guessing.
Offensive lines are made. Built. Developed. Not recruited. Very rarely do you just go recruit 4-5 monsters with high ratings and plug them in.
The fact henson has been at usc 3 years and working with these guys is starting to pay off. Having a system you plug guys into is very 1980s Nebraska or 1990s Wisconsin Assuming the coach is a good teacher and the system is sound.
A great ol developer and coach makes up for a lot of lost stars on the ol.
Pretty good job most of the game. Last play: 2s replacement, safety has deep middle watch, runs himself out of the goal line smash play. Great call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
please tell me USC is starting a two star on that OL....don't think its accurate at all...high three and four stars is more likely.....and the LG and C have plenty of games under their belts....RG and LT are more like newby's but even those two had previous playing time...
