The fans are loud because the team is chalk full of 5 and 4-star athletes, so they win a lot. And the roster has NOTHING to do with Uncle Phil. And neither does their second-to-none facilities. Nope, nothing money can buy.

You think Phil hasnt affected recruiting which affects the product on the field which affects the home field atmosphere?

I don't blame you, Waldo, or Pasadena or anyone else not in the know, but Oregon has been known as one of the LOUDEST stadiums in the nation since 2000 and before. NOTHING TO DO WITH RECRUITING OR WITH PHIL KNIGHT!

Lloyd Carr found out when they came to town in 2003 and lost, the Michigan coach said Autzen Stadium was "The loudest stadium I've ever been at".

It's just that NOW finally the world is recognizing this.....thanks to the game vs tOSU and Oregon now being number 1.

For the record Phil didn't ask to help out the football program until 1996. And nothing was different from the photo of Autzen below until the indoor practice facility, the Moshofsky Center, was built in 1998. Recruiting didn't really get going until Cristobal.

So please call Ripley's, but Believe It or Not, no, the Magic of Autzen has literally NOTHING to do with Phil Knight or the current recruiting bonanza or NIL. 😎

UCLA's current coach should know--he was there in 2000 when Bob Toledo said:

Understood and makes sense from purely an attendees perspective.

But I think you have to look at it like uniforms. Sure, there are some uniforms they rock that I don't align with. But I don't care if the Oregon ducks come out in pink tutus - if recruits like them and they are winning games, that's all that matters.

Sure, Autzen's amenities aren't great, but if it's known as arguable the loudest stadium in college football and other coaches, players and fans acknowledge that fact, along with how difficult of a place it is to play, that's what matters most to this quack. Not that they have fewer urinals than the Coliseum.

Packed. Restrooms. ? The expansion on one side took care of all that. Even on the old side the legroom and facilities aren’t bad at all. Ever been to Rose Bowl? Talk about cramped and shit restrooms. That place is a dump. It needs to be torn down and build a new State of Art facility for around $2 Billion. It’s time. The shit hole is 100 years old.

And yes, the other half needs to be redone at Autzen.
