Bush got his heisman back. Ok. that's nice. USC got it's back. Neither should have ever given it back.
Bush is still suing the NCAA because they released a statement in 2021 that Bush was guilty of pay to play.
Bush claimed just this week that he never got squat and that he was a poor college kid. No pay to play, no 300k loan (in cash payments) that was quoted in a book about the scandal back in 2008, and started the whole mess. So no pay to not play and go pro early either. Which he did. Bush settled a lawsuit from Lake with a nondisclosure agreement.
But last summer Lake sued bush again wanting more money after vandalism to the once famous rented home, claiming defamation.
Why is all this important? Well if the NCAA can't prove that Bush was paid, then he was eligible. Which means SC gets it's wins and titles back if Reggie gets his numbers back. If Bush drops the lawsuit with the NCAA, SC does't get squat.
So maybe the Bush haters might be pulling for him now. sc.
My view is no one is clean in this mess. No one. Two words
My recollection was that the parents, particularly the stepdad, enjoyed the benefits.
Not
Go Reggie!!
