We were told the luggage coming in was excellent. And the Sanders boys and Hunter, great players etc. I am fairly certain not a single piece of LV luggage neon brought in lost 7 of their last 8 games last year.
People nationwide, including some on this board wee very impressed with the staff Neon put together. Some even said it was the best staff in the nation. A head coach actually left his job to become OC for Neon. And then was fired 2 games ago. Their O has gotten worse since.
So if it is not the players. And it's not the coaches. HMMMMMM Just who is to blame for 4-8 and 7 losses in 8 games?
And before we talk abut how much improvement there has been. Let's consider this. Radio was fired at 0-5 last year and they gave up on the season. Before that? When they had coaches that, you know, coached the WHOLE year?
they were 4-8, 4-2, 3 years of 5-7, 10-4. You know, wnning as many or more games as tis new and improved Colorado. Wasn't the idea that they made these changes to IMPROVE things? Improving on a disaster the AD created halfway through the year isn't improvment. Radio did this.
Should we be calling him neon radio? Radio Sanders?
And who, just who is to blame for this?
Worst team in the league last year. Worst team in the league this year.
But two entirely different teams. It's pointless to compare last year to this year and say "the team" progressed or regressed, because you're comparing two different groups of players.
I can't explain the fast start but I think the end-of-season losing streak can be explained by a lack of depth and mid-level talent. Coach brought in some high level talent at the skill positions but the lines were always suspect (except against SC, of course) and as starters went down there was no decent talent to plug in.
Blame goes to the current coaches. They hand-picked the players and plugged them in. Radio and his staff get a pass. Colorado didn't flop this year with Radio's team, it flopped with Prime's team. Boo hoo.
sounds like riley === sanders. racked up wins vs inferior opponents early in the season. When the competition stiffened, all they could do was win one more game. Sounds like Radio Riley. Neither are that great as x's and o's guys. we'll see who can recruit better. I'm guessing Sanders will play better in the inner cities than ole muleshoe will or has.
