Asking for a friend....
Ok, well I guess that friend is me. 😉 And, yes, I see Donte Williams as a HUGE thorn in our Oregon duck butt cheeks in terms of recruiting. So would be happy to see him move on from SC after this year. But he won't. My understanding is he's been guaranteed a spot on next year's team no matter what.
But after being named interim coach for a year, will he be happy going back to being simply an assistant and not DC? Is he ready to be DC? Seems like that's not ideally what USC wants to do--hire people who have never had a particular high-level position before. It's not a training ground for assistants....at least that's what I always hear here on the WW.
Yes, I am scared of Donte and his recruiting prowess...especially if pared with a high-level coach like a Franklin or Fickell. USC's assumed rise will be good for the conference as a whole, but probably not good for Oregon if we want an easier path to potential domination of the conference going forward. But the big picture says a nationally-relevant USC would generally be good for the whole conference, including Oregon.
After completely flubbing the search, Bohn will hire his as head football coach.
Fuck you, Haden.
Whatever the new coach decides….be it at SC or not.
the last thing we need to do is tell potential coaches they have to keep the guy.
Who cares ... dime a dozen
He will stick around until Stoops replaces him with Chip Viney.
Yeah. Pair DW with a REAL COACH! And recruiting EXPLODES!
who the fack knows at this point, but hopefully he stays in some capacity
