Im just doing the addition, three DB coaches is a bit much when you aren’t filled out.

They are getting around it somehow, because a couple days ago, Choice was in and the Houston OL coach was rumored to be on his way. The numbers haven’t changed.

On a side note, I read SC Grad Assistants were more active recruiting than the staff.

@August West I posted that after listening to a broadcast where they were talking about the falloff on USC recruiting and how dumb some of the kids being recruited are...they pointed out that some of the kids stepped off their planes and wondered where the coach was during their arrival that they had been recruited by only to find out that the guy they had built a relationship with was a GA and the first time they actually met or spoke to their position coach was on the visit. It was also pointed out that some kids thought the guy they would be working with was the Head Coach while others had no idea of the coaches or the schemes but just wanted to get the scholarship while others knew nothing about the staff or the University...bottom line was the GA's were doing most of the recruiting over the phone and when the kid visited .....

@the909trojan You mean Sam Gilbert? He was bankrolling the entire USC football team as well. I prefer to talk about current situations though, not those that happened before television was broadcast in color.

@DayStalker How about your HC wasn't he around when he was paying for player at Oregon or maybe the OL Coach/Head Recruiter who was caught with the bags...they were both around when TV's were in color....

@OldHickoryTrojan Yes, that was a dumb move, both got caught doing stupid stuff trying to play with the big boys. But they paid for it and won't do it again, as is painfully obvious with UCLA's current recruiting efforts. I think Clay Junior is going to get you guys in trouble again and fast.
