Stepp believe it or not might have 1 more year to play, if he goes to a D2 program. So go play for Deion Sanders and play 1 years. His first year he carried 7 times and might be able to call it a redshirt. 2020 he gets back. That leaves 2019 2021 and this year. So he has one left somewhere. And yeah, he started in 2018 and won't be done till 2023. At 3 places.
He was listed as a soph at Nebraska in 2021 the last time he carried the ball...gotta figure, the Covid year plays into this somewhere....don't know how they figured the transfer to and from Nebraska....but if he's considered a soph there it would appear he may have two years left..
Pretty sure your clock starts and you have 5 years to play 4. 2020 gives you 6 to play 5. He started in 2018 I think. 7 Carries. Maybe we assume thatās a redshirt year. But the clock started.
then he played in 19-21 for sure. So even if 20 he gets back and he does. Means he was a 4th year soph last Year. However. He has no redshirt years left. The only way he gets 2022 bafk is if he petitions for a medical redshirt. And given that we are in the middle of the season and he entered the portal we know that canāt happen.
im pretty sure he only has one.
of course if he came up with an incident. Like his credit card was declined and heās sure the 7-11 clerk did it because he was black? Well. Probably gets another year.
Just saying that Nebraska had him listed as a soph in 2021. But since he is forced to sit out a year for transferring a second time I could see that 1 year in 2023 being his last as it will be 2018-2023 of playing FB..
Took a beating at USC with an OL and scheme that gave defenders a field day on hitting him with every thing they had and yet the kid still averaged around 7 yards a carry for awhile. Apparently those hits caught up to him. I thought he was a really good running back on a team that couldn't run and gave them the only semblance of a running game they had under the leadership of the worst head coach I had ever seen at USC...
You and me both....I believe Helton favored players ( ie the center that he loved no matter how bad he was at center) and loved the tip toe dancer that ran sideline to sideline for one. Considering everyone knew in a short down situation with Stepp in, who was going to get the ball between tackles the kid still averaged 6.4 yards per carry....and took a beating doing it...and the knocks on his pass catching...how many times do you remember a runningback actually doing anything in the passing game....
I wouldn't call his injuries over someone sneezing..he was a target everytime he carried the ball and he was a lot like earl Campbell in handing out punishment as well...give him a hole ( which he seldom to never had at USC and he punishes a DB...instead of a DT or LBer...big difference..

When I read that titleā¦.all I thought of was:
seems like 8 yrs ago when hr hit college...like DTR and Bru
Slow feet, can't block, not bright.
He should have gone to UCLA out of HS.
Always liked Stepp.
Some kids just can't stay healthy. happens. sc
he should come back to USC. THey need the depth and really need a big back.
With the time at usc and a couple at neb I would think he has to sit out a year now. How long does he have?
