Objectively I can see why the Longhorns have a beef (pun fully intended). But really, the only thing that will solve this is next year's 12-game playoff expansion. Lots of argument over who is #4 vs #5 but I don't expect the same level of discourse over who is 12th vs 13th next season.
What Texas fans fail to realize is that if Oregon beats #3 Washington, that should be enough alone to keep my quacks at #4 - even if Alabama beats Georgia.
Really, could have the final season of p12 competition come down to a better ending than this one? Never has there been so much riding on a game for both teams in the p12 conference championship game - and the only two teams from the conference to have ever made the playoffs. Couldn't have scripted it any better.
If Washington wins on Friday night, kudos to them - they had an amazing undefeated season and deserve to be in the national championship playoffs. Good luck to mandb, woof woof and other Dawgs on here.
If Oregon wins and makes the playoffs (I don't see a huge risk of not making the playoffs with a win, although it's possible), we're right back where we wanted to be 9 years later. And in a better position long term than we were back then playing in the first college football playoff series with a coach who was just trying not to ride the clutch and jam the gears of the 911 RSR Porsche he was gifted (but ended up crashing anyway).
That porsche has the class of a gold-plated Bidet in a barstow whorehouse. Texas thinks the universe revolves around Austin. Its back tonthe issue of conference championships knocking out some of the best teams. with no automatic seed for the conference ch. game it may be a disadvantage.
Oregon should get in over Ohio State. ND turned out to be mediocre. PSU has no offense unless they are playing a weak sister. Big 10 was weak.
I think the four best teams are Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and Texas. Assuming those four all win their conference title games can undefeated FSU be left out if they also win their title game? Probably not, so I'll be rooting against them. Lousiville is game.
Texas and Oregon are on par.
Ohio St being behind Oregon is criminal.
Screw Texas
Disagree...Texas beat Alabama who in my mind is a better team than UW. So they have a legit beef. If BAMA beats UGA which I don't think they will, they should also be considered over Oregon. Whether anyone likes it or not BAMA has improved since playing Texas as ther young QB grew up. With that said the PAC still is not the caliber of the Big 10 or SEC. Ohio St should still be in the discussion. One bigtime call put Michigan in the Championship game . The fact that they stuck to the 4 team format is going to be real telling of how screwed up this playoff will be. Lots of schools could end up missing out on being championship worthy.
