Forgive me if this has been posted before but I didn't remember who was charged with the one fumble turnover we had this season. From my perspective. nobody turned it over, call it a team fumble if you will.
USC did not lose the turnover battle in any of its 12 regular season games this year. Arizona State, Washington State and Cal were the opponents able to even keep it even. And that Cal game gets an asterisk because the Trojans were charged with a lost fumble when they didn’t recover an onside kick late in the game.
The article is wrong, the lost fumble was counted as the PAT that was effed up in the game. So 0 fumbles lost really all season
it has always been scored as a team fumble loss and an individual fumble recovery.
The only reason it was noticed is because not a single quarterback, running back, receiver, punter, kicker , holder, punt or kick returner lost a fumble this season.
USC only lost three interceptions.
just half or a third of the usual number of fumbles and interceptions lost this season and this is an 8 or 9 win team.
but it must have been The Grinche's defense. sc
