Any ideas?
CW aint running enough. Changed that last night and it helped. But its a good point about how the RPO DEPENDS on this aspect to the O.
My biggest issue actually. PULL a guard or the tackle and let mass kick some ass. Its an easy fix. Btw Arizona used it against us all night or at least the concept of overloading with blockers.
3. Our sweep game is worst Ive ever seen. Its always a TFL. That should NOT happen. What is issue there? Execution? Scheme? Personnel? Any ideas?
4. Always the same RPO formation. I mean cmon these guys are paid well to look at game film and study tendicies and to find a way to neutralzie it.
Absolutely we have to run more
Too bad I'm not dead. They might make a statue to me.
Nice to see you all come around.
Maybe I'll wait 2-3 games to express
my opinions next time to let you all catch up.
USC has no speed to the perimeter. It's a fault of Lloyd and jones. Brown was supposed to be the solution for this and to a lesser extent branch. Add to it that Caleb doesn't particularly want to be out there and usc doesn't throw screen passes? It's an entire area of the field defenses don't have to worry about.
Normally dropping 7 means you can run at will. But when they know where you'll be running and your ol isn't great at drive blocking. Then it's easy for the 7 to come up for run support.
And just like that USC is defensible. Or becomes a low percentage big play offense. Thus you see Caleb's completion percentage drop from 75 to 40.
Multiple issues here.
Ol not good drive blockers. Also not adept at the gt pulls
Cw must run a lot more. D knows where the ball s always going otherwise.
Need to run sets w 2 rbs for same reason.
Lloyd is a straight ahead back. Do not run him wide.
Get Zack branch back and use him for sweeps or isolate on lbs for Texas or wheel routes a LA Reggie.
Good post.
Java nailed it on the need for Caleb to run and signal he may run.
The problem I see is the offensive line. Tarquin and Kingston aren't very good. Pregnon ain't much better.
