"Dorian Thompson-Robinson was the best player on the field for either team, with the only apologies to Zach Charbonnet, who was the runner-up. Statistically, it was one of Thompson-Robinson’s better efforts, but from an eye test perspective, it was one of the most rudely dominant performances we can remember seeing from a UCLA quarterback. He HURDLED a defender and that WASN’T EVEN the most disrespectful thing he did to a Washington defender.
No, the most disrespectful thing he did to a Washington defender(s) was when he entered bullet time while jogging toward the end zone to go up 33-10 and instead of allowing the approaching defenders to respectably hit him as he dove into the end zone, granting them a little bit of honor and dignity, he instead just stopped, allowed them to run into each other like a scene from a Jackie Chan movie, and walked into the end zone"
Yeah, that line (UW -2.5) was curious to me too. And I really hated the way Chip and his crew handled the fourth quarter. Way too NFL-like for me. Still, I was impressed with what DTR did in the final minutes -- something the next UCLA QB probably won't be able to do, sorry to say.
I didn't predict a UCLA win either. I thought the UCLA defense would get torched against the pass, and they pretty much did. But I also didn't count on Penis fucking up as much as he did, and there were times when the UCLA defense did force him into shitty throws. So the Bruins do deserve some credit. And DTR and the offense proved they can and will be able to move the ball this season. I'm not optimistic about the Utah game, but maybe I'll be wrong again.
