ACC considering moving Stanford, Cal games to Dallas to limit travel

I think they are talking Olympic sports. I think there are 14 sports that the ACC has. So they are talking about a bunch in Dallas. Maybe Tournament style. As far as home field advantage. Gone. As far as fans watching? All 10-100 of them

Ever seen womens tennis, soccer,field hockey , swimming etc? Who watches? No one cares.

calford is playing for free, screwing the athletes, the environment. 100 % because the choice was being associated with Academic schools in the ACC or Fresno. San Jose in Mtn west. You knew that wasn't going to happen.

Even if all their matches are in Dallas. It will get old fast . Might as well set up a satellite campus at SMU. They can share dorms , learn on- line .

Hell, you can get a degree from ASU on line from South Africa. Never step foot on campus. Stanford can become ASU East.

I have a niece on Stanford's water polo national title team. I wonder if this kind of travel will affect Stanford's great recruiting at all in Olympic sports. It must have some influnce on those families' decisions.

I doubt it. Everyone in every conference is traveling more. Stanford is an extreme travel. But those kids want a Furd degree

oh, they have no leverage per se, but there are better options available than this, esp. for Stanford. I think Cal is screwed regardless, to which I say good. Most unwarranted, arrogant pricks on the planet.
