USC may not be "Tailback U" anymore, but there's no fucking way it has to be "Tailback Who?"
There should never be that many performances ahead of a USC running back on any weekend. I don't care if you have a freak QB practicing black magic out there and putting up 350 years without breaking a sweat.
Your Boy Wonder videogame H.C. wants the high score. And even though someone (August West?) pointed out that the playcalling is pretty balanced on paper, it's awfully clear that the gameplan is lopsided. I watched the Arizona game. Very few plays were designed to get Dye into the open field, and that is where he's a beast. You don't have to pass the ball to get a speedy RB into space; you have to have the right offense and the right plays, and you have to have a two-headed monster in order to accomplish this. UCLA does it with Charbonnet, Jones, and Allen all the time, and the positive yardage gained is substantial. USC doesn't do this; they run Dye into the line far too often, and he often gets much of his yardage on his own. Doesn't have to be that way.
USC has rarely had to punt, but they don't always win the T.O.P. With a defense that is banged-up and not all that good to begin with, this is not a smart move. Even mediocre teams like Arizona present a challenge when a mediocre defense is forced to stay on the field even an extra 5 minutes, particularly against a mobile quarterback. UCLA learned this the hard way at Oregon -- who is not a mediocre team.
You don't have to throw long on first down. Just move the chains and you're still going to score, you'll just chew more clock while doing it. It's not that tough.
Yeah. USCs problem is offense. Who knew?
dye will be running for 1100 yards this year or more. And is considered by many to be the mvp. I doubt he feels under appreciated.
SC is a fast strike offense
if you like ball control, the BIG 10 and SEC have plenty of choices for you
or maybe 'furd or the Midshipman are your thing?
Dye 121 Carrie’s 760 yards 6.3 ypc
8 tds not too shabby IMHO 18 receptions too and he hasn’t been worn down due to excessive use so he will be ready for the stretch runs

Hey Waldo, the kicker is that USC had to look to lil' podunky Oregon for its RB.
And despite that Oregon is still leading the conference in rushing, and #9 in the nation.
Me back in the 1980s had you ever told me this was to become fact 40 years later...
Waldorf, you will never get them to bite right now. They are on a high like no other after beating the mighty wildcats of Arizona by 8 points. You don't need to run, just let that QB dipped in oil to beast out and throw the ball to an area and pray the PAC-12 refs won't call the offensive pass interference on that WR, which they wont because they haven't gotten to that chapter in the book yet.
Cool story, bro
thank you for your concern with USCs offense.
I wouldnt Hold your breast waiting for similar comments about ucla’s anything.
No one went.
