This may be Michigan’s best team ever

In the modern era, the 1997 Wolverines with Woodson are considered the best but this team is better. They have it all other than a 2nd big-time WR to go along with Wilson. I think they've been leading sometime 95% of the time this year. Bama led them during the game for more minutes than all of their other opponents combined. UW is going to need some breaks to get the W. Not impossible.

Word has it that if they win they will be granted automatic status as the next franchise in the NFL

The 1997 Michigan team that barely beat a WSU (yes, Washington STATE) team in the Rose Bowl is the GOAT?

Sure, WSU had Ryan Leaf and a decent set of skill players, but their defense was their typical lower level players and average at best. WSU had the ball for the go ahead score but the GOAT football team needed the clock to run out to secure that close win?

Michigan was undefeated in 1997. They beat #2 PSU, #4 OSU, and #8 WSU. Their CB won the Heisman and their QB played in the NFL for a decade. That UM defense was one of its best ever.

Most folks I have seen don't rate them. I have seen a Miami team from the early 2000's, one of the USC teams, Texas, a couple Bama squads, and the LSU team of Ed Orgeron. No Michigan.
