To clear things up. the ncaa suspension rule

clearly states that if suspension happens in the second half of a game, that suspension extends to THE NEXT GAME, either post season or the first game the following season. There is not "week 1" anything. But hats off to whoever thought of it.

The whole suspension shit is nonsense to begin with. Pussified football. Eject if you must, but that's it. This carry over crap is way overboard. Doubt the ncaa was even paying attention.

Possibly, that is SC's out. From what I read , the NCAA with its huge budget committee on committee on infrations was supposed to notify USC about the suspension and did not.

Even if there is no forfeit, I can see this keeping SC out of the playoffs. SC probably has to go undefeated now . Don't see that happening.

The only think I know for sure is that it's fair banter for other fans all season. sc

Well, that's the other thing. Who was supposed to notify the school. Again, no school is gonna keep track of another's penalties. If the NCAA enforces this, well, then it's on them to notify ahead of time. Of course when you fab evidence, take the full 4 years to investigate and then still have to use a tennis player's phone calls to go after the football program, well ethics and intelligence aren't on the radar.
