I think any season without any chance of being competitive at top levels is a wasted chance. Talent, experience, coaching, competition each oscillate not quite predictably. the trick is to capture lightning in abottle by getting several postive things to happen all together. Bad coaching undermines everything else.

Do you ever make arguments without building a straw-man that grossly overstates the other side's position so youknock the stuffing out of your opponents made up argument?

Its such an obvious fallacy it sometimes goes unnoticed.
